Imperative! There Will Be Blood and Too Many Boys 2.
.
Even if it did not end up as the biggest winner in this year's Oscar, I was still enthusiastic to see Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood.
.
First, because all reviews of the film are generally positive. Some even call it a masterpiece in the same level as Orson Welles' Citizen Kane. Second, it is directed by PT Anderson and I have been much elated by his previous works, Boogie Nights and Magnolia. Third, Daniel Day-Lewis took home a Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Daniel Plainview. I wanted to see if the statuette was deserved.
.
So last Friday, I finally met up with Quincy and we went to the only theater in the metro that screens the film. It was only the first time in more than three months that we have gone out. He texted me a few days before asking if I am interested to see Blood. We are both movielovers and we may have both been eager to see a film that critics lauded as a masterpiece. And it seems that we have the same problem of not having anyone to go out and watch the film.
.
It was an awkward invitation for me and it took some time before I gave my reply. Finally, just about two hours before the showing, I called Quincy to confirm that we could go out that night. I was the first to get to the mall and so bought the tickets. It was only the second time that I watched a movie on lazy boy seats.
.
The critics are correct in touting the latest of PT's projects as a modern masterpiece. The film is flawless. The director certainly exacted a high level of quality from the cinematography, production, sound, performances and all other elements of the film. No Country For Old Men better be a perfect film for running away with this year's Best Picture trophy in the Academy Awards.
.
This is only the second time in the last three years that I have been rendered speechless by a film. The last time was Lust, Caution, the latest output of director Ang Lee.
.
Daniel Day-Lewis, indeed, gave a spectacular performance as the oil baron. He had such effortless and faultless command of his character that it was no bother that he dominated the film. Though he sometimes sounded like Al Pacino in City Hall, he carried the film to success.
.
But Day-Lewis' performance is not the only exceptional acting in the film. Young actor Paul Dano also gave the performance of his life as Eli Sunday, the false prophet who shadows and parallels the success, failures and dilemmas of Day-Lewis' own character. I am surprised that his performance was overlooked by award-giving bodies, including the Oscar.
.
Dano previously played the role of the Nitzche-adoring teen in Little Miss Sunshine.

Another movie I'd recommend is Bel Ami's latest porn release, Too Many Boys 2. This is a sequel to the original Too Many Boys video released about three years ago. Again, Johan Paulik puts more than a dozen young men in a small house and records what happens when they start to pair up and head for the bedrooms.
.
Though it is a standard suck-and-fuck with each episode not lasting more than fifteen minutes (alternative title: Too Many Quickies), I still enjoyed the video for featuring four of my favorite tops, Josh Elliot (complete with a leaner body and a new haircut but still preserving his boyish appeal), Brandon Manilow (the best top there is in porn at present), Rick Fontana and Paul Valery.
.
Paul Valery is emerging to be superstar in the Bel Ami house. In only a year, this is already his third major movie. He was launched in Rebel, followed also last year by Flings 3. His long, thick and juicy dick, his good looks and his natural talent as a fucker is certainly bringing him a long way.

It really was an odd and uncomfortable meeting with Quincy. After dinner and movie, we said our good nights and parted ways.
.
The movie ended at midnight. Since it was Friday, the night was still young for me and I decided to cruise. I ended up going to Malate, after thinking of checking out Bed, a popular gay bar and club in that area. I was also still horny and looking for a quickie partner after Quincy and I parted awkwardly.
.
I never made it inside Bed. Within the thirty or forty minutes that I was checking out the area, pretending to be busily texting on my cell and just standing on the crowded streets, I already got the attention and received propositions from four straight-acting guys (just my type). One of them (the third, actually, who approached me) I even recognize as an actor and a finalist of Starstruck, the local talent search show.
.
He was seated on a couch outside the popular club and I was still fiddling whether to go inside when our eyes locked. I changed my mind about going inside and so walked back to the street again, pretending to be waiting for a friend. In less than a minute, Actor was standing beside me and buying a cigarette from a street vendor. After his purchase, he asked me if I had a lighter. That was clearly a pick-up ploy. First, I wasn't even smoking. Second, the street vendor had a service lighter that Actor could have used.
.
And then he asked whether I was with someone and what my name was. I gave him my phony pick-up name, of course. Our conversation did not last longer than five minutes. Soon, a gay guy, maybe Actor's manager or handler, approached Actor and whisked him away from me. They headed somewhere in the dark. I wasn't very interested in the Actor so I did not follow where they went. Nor did the incident concern or trouble me afterwards.
.
I ended up with a guy named Felix. I already had my eyes on him when he was walking down the street presumably from where he parked his car. He had a terrific body and somehow, just somehow, he gave out a Jake Cuenca vibe. We went to his condominium unit that was about twenty minutes far from Malate. The sex was good. I hope I get to write about it soon.
.
I have no intention of outing Actor in this blog. It will make quite a story as I have never heard an iota of gay rumor about him. So instead of pasting a picture of Actor, I am accompanying a picture of the hunky Mark Herras (Must Blow 45) my favorite Starstruck survivor. Of course he isn't the actor who approached me Friday night. If Mark were the one who approached me that night, I would have bashed the head of the gay guy who would whisk him away from me.
